Chopard's latest Mille Miglia special edition watch combines observatory-certified performance, automotive-inspired design, and a unique blue-grey dial, directly inspired by the circuits of Italy's most famous classic endurance race.

In the watchmaking industry, few partnerships are as enduring and genuine as the one between Chopard and the Mille Miglia race. Since becoming the official timekeeper of this legendary Italian race in 1988, the Swiss watchmaker has infused the spirit of classic motorsport into a series of watches crafted for racing enthusiasts. The latest masterpiece is the Mille Miglia GTS Power Control Grigio-Blu – 2026 Racing Edition watch, a limited edition of 250 pieces that continues the essence of its predecessors, with precision, reliability, and legibility at the core of its design.

Inspired by the road

The signature feature of this new watch is its distinctive grey-blue dial. The brass dial, adorned with a richly textured blue-grey hue, evokes the asphalt surfaces that have challenged generations of Mille Miglia racing drivers. The delicate texture lends the dial subtle depth, while the striking typography and strong contrast ensure exceptional legibility. Motorsport elements permeate the entire dial design. Most notably, the power reserve indicator between 8 and 10 o'clock, shaped like a fuel gauge, reinforces the connection between mechanical endurance and automotive performance. Black applied hour markers and wide faceted hands are coated with black Superluminova for clear readability in all lighting conditions; the date display at 3 o'clock adds practicality for everyday use.

Born for the Track
This timepiece features a 43mm case crafted from Chopard's exclusive Lucent Steel. This material incorporates a high proportion of recycled materials, combining exceptional hardness with a unique luster comparable to precious metals. The balanced case proportions, ergonomically short lugs, and a thickness of only 11.43mm ensure comfortable wear, despite its sporty appearance. The screw-down crown, engraved with a steering wheel motif, subtly echoes the series' automotive heritage; its 100-meter water resistance underscores its everyday practicality. The black aluminum bezel further enhances the watch's dashboard character, giving it a sophisticated and understated look, making it suitable for both driving and off-road use.

COSC Certified Performance: The Mille Miglia GTS Power Control Grigio-Blu watch is powered by Chopard's in-house 01.08-C automatic movement, COSC certified. The movement operates at 4 Hz, boasts a 60-hour power reserve, and features a stop-seconds function for precise time adjustment. COSC certification confirms a daily accuracy between -4 and +6 seconds, demonstrating the series' consistent commitment to precision and reliability.

Through the sapphire crystal case back, the movement, composed of 251 parts, is clearly visible, embodying Chopard's dedication to seamlessly blending robust engineering with exquisite mechanical watchmaking craftsmanship.
